Kinky Wolf by Aidy Award

~ NEW ~ EXCERPT BELOW ~

Niko Troika gave up everything, his pack, his best friend, his ability to shift, to ensure the entire wolf-shifter society wasn't exposed.

Under the light of a full moon he finds his one true mate. The one woman whose heart he broke and would never love him again.

The warrior leaned against a tree and pulled a leaf from a low-hanging branch. He rolled it up and used it like a toothpick. ""Too bad you don't know who your fated mate is. That's half the battle right there.""

Niko did know. Of course he knew. The first day he'd seen Zara, sitting on the bleachers, the sun in her hair, giggling with the pack of teenage girls, he'd been dumbstruck. She was the most perfect thing he'd ever laid eyes on, ever scented. His wolf had been ready to pee circles around her just so every other man or wolf in the area knew to stay away from her.

No way he could go to Zara now. He would not bring her into his murky gloom. Never could he ask for her help. Not when he could taint her with his corrupt soul. ""My destiny isn't what you think. Maybe I used to be meant for the life of an alpha, but that's all gone. I gave it all up.""

""Sure you did."" The warrior nodded like Niko was telling him he's lost his wallet. Kind of like, that sucks, too bad, so sad. He tossed the leaf, which flew back up into the tree, and walked right up to Niko, invading his personal space. ""Now you gotta go get it back.""

Niko tried to take a step back, but his legs wouldn't move. ""That, that's not how it works.""

Scales rippled over the warriors skin. ""Who says? Oh, that's right. Nobody else. Only you.""

""There has to be another way. I can't go to Zara like this. I'm half a man, I'm not good enough for her. I'm not good enough for anyone.""

""Listen to the words coming out of my mouth."" Smoke swirled out of the shifter's nostrils.

Niko swallowed. He had a feeling he wasn't going to like what the warrior was going to say. ""Okay.""

""You. Are. A. D--"" He stopped mid-word and tilted his head, listening to something Niko couldn't hear. A sigh and an eyeroll later, and he continued talking, but not to Niko. ""Fine. I won't call him names, but I do think it would be helpful, sweetest heart of my heart.""

""Uhh...""

The warrior glared at him and shushed him. ""Shh.""

This was seriously one of the strangest encounters he'd ever had. ""I'm, um, gonna go now.""

A massive hand with talons on the end of the fingers landed on his shoulder, not allowing Niko to go anywhere. ""Kid. I can see you're going to do this the hard way. I say why bother, but the love of my life says you're important. I thought saving your ass once was more than enough. You're not even a dragon.""

Dragon?

""But I trust her, because she is my heart and soul. So once more. Listen to the words that are coming out of my mouth.""

Niko gulped.

""Once you've claimed your mate, and you will claim her, dumbass. Once you've claimed her, use your tongue to--"" The warriors eyes grew wide and then he chuckled. ""Yes dearest. On my way.""

In a blink, the warrior was gone and only a wisp of wind with some sparkling rainbow scales were left in his wake.

What the hell had just happened? Before he even took a step to get out of there, an enormous dragon appeared before him and spoke directly into his mind.  ""Orgasms, kid. Lots and lots of orgasms. Mates like that. Give her lots of orgasms and she'll like you just fine.""

Then it was gone. Either he'd slipped deeper into psychosis than Doc or anyone thought and he needed to check himself into the hospital now, because he'd just created the weirdest imaginary friend ever, or there was a crazy dragon on his side.
